The main object you must never forget must be to preserve at least a sufficient portion of this colony, and to remain there to be able to ensure that total peace is achieved,... You will have to decide how to achieve this, to make the enemy weary... keep them a good distance from the center of the colony... In a nutshell, you must do your best during this campaign to await the effects of negotiations that could preserve Canada or operations that could save it.
